Music of Grace
Everyone participates in the Music Ministry of Grace! In singing, listening, playing, and praying, all are involved in this unique, God given window to the beauty of holiness. Specific ministries that serve our liturgies include Chancel Choir, "Pick Up Choir" for Taize services, and Instrumental ensembles that play for liturgies. On third Sundays of the month we host Community Singalongs at 5pm. Once a month we host Community Drum Circles. We also have music ministries that reach into the larger community such as Threshold Singers, and we host a local Music Jam on Thursdays, 5:30–7:30PM. Stay tuned for frequent community events. For details, or if you have ideas for more ways we can lift music as a healing force in the world, see or email Martha Burford.

Adult Choir Weekly Rehearsal
Thursday, 7–8:30PM
Grace Group Jam
Calling all musicians! Bring your guitars, ukuleles, basses, banjos, drums, saxophones, fiddles, violas, ... The Grace Group Jam sometimes leads 3rd Sunday Community Sings on the Courtyard and occasionally plays for Sunday, 10:30AM services. Rehearsal times vary. For information contact Martha Burford.
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir of Grace, composed of volunteers and college choral scholars, sings for 10:30AM liturgies every Sunday, for 5PM Evening services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, and for special liturgies including, when asked for, memorial services and weddings. Weekly rehearsals are at 7PM on Thursdays. Repertoire spans the centuries and the globe, and is chosen to enrich our understanding of who we are as followers of Jesus Christ.
Music Scholars
Music scholars at Grace are college students committed to the Mission of Grace and enriching that Mission with their choral, conducting, and composition skills. The positions are stipended, and the students chosen live fully into the life of the church, going above and beyond sharing their time and talent at Grace and in the wider community. For information contact Martha Burford.
Threshold Singers
Threshold Singers volunteer through Rockbridge Area Hospice and offer the gift of song at the bedsides of those who are at thresholds of living and dying, coming by invitation in groups of 2-4 singers. Our gentle songs bring ease and comfort to clients, family, and caregivers. As we reconvene according to CDC guidelines, practices are being scheduled in different locations on as-needed basis. For information contact Martha Burford.
