ABOUT GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH
Grace Episcopal stands as a beacon of faith and community in Lexington, Virginia. We are a place of prayer, peace and joy to all who join us. Our community is made up of people of different ages and backgrounds coming together to worship and serve together. We welcome all individuals seeking God’s love and our doors are open to every soul seeking to welcome Jesus into their heart. All are welcome here.
OUR MISSION
The mission of Grace Episcopal Church is to share in the redeeming work of God by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, by worshipping Jesus as Lord, by growing in the knowledge of God and God's will for our parish, and by building the fellowship of Christ's body, the Church.
We seek to share God's love in witness and service to one another and our community, our neighboring institutions of higher education, and through the diocese, to the nation and the world.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Grace Episcopal Church is called to the ministry of reconciliation. We recognize and give thanks for the many diverse gifts of God among us. We celebrate our human family’s diversity of gender, race, ethnicity, age, marital status, physical and mental ability, economic status, faith history, education, sexual orientation, gender identity, and political views.
We affirm that all people are created in the image of God and as beloved children of God, all are worthy of God’s love and grace. We welcome the full inclusion of all people in the life and ministries of Grace Episcopal Church as we journey toward reconciliation through Christ. Grace Church strives to be a space where each person feels safe, cared for, loved, and supported to develop who they are in Christ.
We recognize that there are differences among us but believe that we can love alike even though we might not think alike. We invite all people who seek God’s grace to join us in our faith journey toward greater love, understanding, and mutual respect.
